Who We Are

The DuMond Conservancy for Primates & Tropical Forests is the 501(c)(3) not-for-profit science and education affiliate of Monkey Jungle, a primate-focused wildlife park and discovery center in Miami-Dade County, Florida. We are a team of staff, volunteers, and students working with professional affiliates from academic institutions and conservation organizations interested in primatological study and concerned about the welfare and conservation of our closest living relatives and the sustainability of the environments in which they live. We are also concerned about underserved youth in our local community and leverage the unique environs and programs at Monkey Jungle and the DuMond Conservancy to engage these youth via immersive education programs.
